Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Mosier

Elizabeth Pauline Mosier, daughter of William Benjamin and Susie Jane Rhoades Caviness, was born, August 17, 1918 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in Christian Health Care, Hermitage, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years, six months and seven days. In February of 1935, she was united in marriage to Leonard William Mosier, Sr. and to this union three children were born. Together they shared forty-four years of marriage until his passing on November 24, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leonard William Mosier, Jr. and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Gray of Warsaw, Missouri and Wanda Booth and husband Chip of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Rachael Staude of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly Mills of Hemet, California and Aaron Mosier of Camdenton, Missouri and other relatives and many friends. Lizzie was raised in Camden County. Shortly after her marriage to Leonard, they lived throughout the country while he worked in construction. They retired back to Camdenton in 1962 where she continued to live until she moved to Hermitage due to failing health. She made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the staff of Christian Health Care and Hospice for their loving care given to Lizzie over the past nine years. Lizzie was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
