Eugene 'Blue' Mcqueen

EUGENE "BLUE" McQUEEN Harold Eugene McQueen, son of Lester Alexander and Erma Frances Clopp McQueen, was born, February 29, 1940 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, two months and three days. On November 13, 1959 in Decaturville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Shirley Fay Wallander and to this union six children were born. Together they shared nearly forty years of marriage before her passing on July 27, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Larry McQueen and Gary McQueen; a step-father, William Ward; a granddaughter, Melissa McQueen; a brother, Clifford McQueen; a daughter-in-law, Susan McQueen and a brother-in-law, Roy Halderman. Survivors include his children, Donald McQueen, Dean McQueen and wife Donna and Tammy Dabbs and husband Ron all of Macks Creek, Missouri and Steven McQueen and wife Delores of Cameron, Missouri; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, William Ward and wife Susan of Camdenton, Missouri; four sisters, Carolyn Halderman, Delores Crall and husband James, Linda Burns and husband Dale and Patricia Smith and husband Bill all of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Eugene was raised in the Linn Creek area and was a life-long resident of Camden County. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Eugene made a profession of faith and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church of Camdenton. In his spare time, Blue loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him and his memory will linger in our hearts forever. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Myetta Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
