Evelyn Juanita Marg

Evelyn Juanita (Schuette) Marg, daughter of William and Abbie (Stelts) Schuette, was born, October 1, 1924 in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-eight years, five months and one day. On October, 26, 1947, she was united in marriage to George Carl Marg in Joplin, Missouri. To this union four children were born and together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage until his passing on May 12, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Carl Marg; her son, William Marg; and her brother, Gerald Schuette. Survivors include, her three children, Eunice Brakebill, Richard Marg, Pamela Warner; and brother, William Louis Schutte. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will all truly miss her. Evelyn was raised in Ottawa County, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Wyandotte High School in Wyandotte, Oklahoma in the class of 1942. After graduation, Evelyn moved to Joplin, Missouri where she went to work as a dental assistant for RD Korns. She met the love of her life, George and became a Pastors wife and followed him to many pastorates in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. In 1979, after raising her four children, she moved to Missouri, where she began working at Camdenton Head Start. Later she began working at Mozark Health Resort as a nurse’s aide and then Missouri Home Care as a home health aide before her retirement 1989. Evelyn accepted Christ and was a member of Shaped by the Cross Church; Lutheran Mission, Laurie, Missouri. In her spare time, she loved to read, garden, take part in the local farmers market and doing work for her church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was always a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church, Greenview, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow the services in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
