Evelyn M Laue

Evelyn Marie Laue, daughter of Robert Reed and Wilma Marie Mohnike Brown, was born April 11, 1921 in Burlington, Iowa. She departed this life Monday, November 7, 2016 in Osage Beach Healthcare, at the age of ninety-five years, six months, and twenty-seven days. On June 25, 1943, Evelyn was united in marriage to Maynard Edward Laue, and to this union three sons were born. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Robert Lee Laue. She is survived by her sons, Donald Eugene Laue, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Gary Dean Laue and wife, Sharon, of Raleigh, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Chod Hill and wife Katharine, Corey Hill, Christy Hill Escher and husband Michael; her great-grandchildren, Leilani Hill, Chaylea Kay and husband Matt, Jordan Kay, Brody Escher, and Logan Escher; her great-great-grandchildren, Lyla Christy Valentine and Beaux Whitney Valentine; a brother, Willis Brown and wife Beverly, of Middletown, Iowa; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Evelyn spent her younger years living in Burlington, Iowa, and was a graduate of the Burlington High School. Following her marriage to Maynard, Evelyn made her home in Iowa and Missouri and spent her years raising her three sons and being a devoted homemaker to her family. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed knitting, counted cross-stitch, crossword puzzles, playing computer games, and watching NASCAR whenever possible. She enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends and rarely missed a chance to spoil a grandchild. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. We celebrate her long life and many accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till time of service. Burial will follow in Lebanon City Cemetery, Lebanon, Missouri. Funeral services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
