FRANCES CROSS Frances Ellen Cross, daughter of George and Ray Nichols Beals, was born, April 29, 1916 in Sumpter Township, Illinois. She departed this life, Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in Christian Healthcare and Rehab of Lebanon North, Lebanon, Missouri at the age of ninety-seven years, seven months and twelve days. On March 25, 1933 in Toledo, Illinois, she was untied in marriage to Ralph J. Wilkin. She later married Frank F. Cross on April 26, 1973 in Camdenton, Missouri. Both husbands preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Blanche Shoot; her son, Ralph E. Wilkin; two sisters, Nellie Wiebie and Ruth Harris; two brothers, Albert Beals and Leo Shupe; two step-sons, Leonard Cross, Sr. and Charlie Cross and a grandson, Leonard Cross, Jr. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Wilkin of Montreal, Missouri; four grandchildren, Becky Stonecipher and husband Bill of Lebanon, Missouri, Bobbie Evans and husband Mark of Franklin, Tennessee, Joe Wilkin and wife Kathy of Brumley, Missouri and Ralph Wilkin and wife Wendee of Van Burean, Arkansas; twelve great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; a step-brother, Jack Cross of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Frances was raised in Illinois and after her marriage to Ralph, they made their home on a farm in Toledo, Illinois. They later moved to Hammond, Indiana. She later moved to Montreal, Missouri where she was a homemaker and baby sitter. Frances made a profession of faith and attended the Church of Christ in Camdenton. In her spare time she needle work. She was talented at knitting, crocheting and quilting. She loved children and always welcomed them in her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lived and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 in Barkley Funeral Chapel, Toledo, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Toledo Cemetery, Toledo, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
