FYRN ORLANDO Fyrn Hazel Orlando, daughter of William and Rose Walters Peterson, was born, January 26, 1909 in Crocker, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri just fifteen days short of her 100th birthday. She was united in marriage to Anthony Joseph Orlando and to this union three children were born. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald Anthony Orlando; a brother, Bud and four sisters, Eula, Clara, Lorene and Ruby. Survivors include her children, Delores Williams and husband Bob of Fenton, Missouri and David Orlando and wife Freida of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Ruth of Cape Coral, Florida; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Fyrn was raised in St. Louis and life there most of her adult life. She worked as a seamstress for a garment manufacturer for many years. She moved to the lake area in the early nineties, after the death of her husband. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Tower Grove Baptist Church in St. Louis. While living in the lake area, she attended First Baptist Church of Camdenton. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She made many beautiful doll dresses and children's clothes throughout the years. Fyrn was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and was a caring neighbor and friend. She lived a good long life and created many wonderful memories for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009 in the Chapel at Valhalla Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held, however, friends may call from 1-4 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
