GARY McQUEEN Gary Gene McQueen, son of Harold Eugene and Shirley Fay Wallander McQueen, was born, August 9, 1964 in Columbia, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of forty-three years, ten months and twenty days. On August 19, 1986 in Pleasant Hill Church, Camdenton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Julie Ann Webster and to this union two daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Fay McQueen; a twin brother, Larry McQueen; a sister-in-law, Susan McQueen and a niece, Melissa McQueen. Survivors include his wife, Julie McQueen of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth Susan McQueen and fiance Allen Landrus of Camdenton, Missouri and Tara Marie McQueen and fiance Justin Swadley of Macks Creek, Missouri; a granddaughter, Mannie Pearl Landrus; his father, Eugene "Blue" McQueen of Macks Creek, Missouri; three brothers, Donald McQueen and Dean McQueen and wife Donna all of Macks Creek, Missouri and Timmy McQueen of Osage Beach, Missouri; a sister Tammy Dabbs and husband Ron of Macks Creek, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was a life-long resident of Camden County and Eldridge area and was known by his friends as Doodle. He worked as a Senior Training Mate for Spartan Transportations and later Ingram Barge Company. He worked mainly on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. He made a profession of faith in Christ and recently baptized and became a member of Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and canoeing. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will treasure the memories he created in our hearts forever. A memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
