George Hicks

George Blueford Hicks, son of Adolf Merl and Margaret Jane Holiday Hicks, was born, September 24, 1957 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He departed this life, March 19, 2017, in his home, at the age of fifty nine years, five months and twenty three days. On January 5, 1981, George was united in marriage to Teresa Burch, and to this union two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife Teresa Hicks, his sister Elenore Helmig, and his brothers Frankie Holiday, Adolf Hicks, Jr., and Lawrence Edward. George is survived by his sons, George Hicks of Camdenton, Missouri,and, Justin Hicks of Camdenton, Missouri,; his grandchildren, Gwendalyn, Regan and Nicholas of Camdenton, Missouri,; his siblings, Anna Jones and husband Perry of Tuscumbia, Missouri, Juewl Hicks and wife Rita of Eldon, Missouri, Mary Dothage of Eldon, Missouri, John Hicks and wife Sandy of Henley, Missouri, Carol Kulberg of Versailes, Missouri, and Paul Hicks of Jefferson City, Missouri,; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. George was raised in the Jefferson City and Eugene area and attended school at Eugene. George made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Baptist Church. In his spare time George could be found wood working or making various things. He loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grand kids. He was an avid gardener and cooker. He was famous for his homemade french fries and hamburgers. He was a loving dad, grandpa, uncle and brother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., March 28, 2017, in Myetta Baptist Church . Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
