George Porter

George M. Porter, son of James Irwin and Bethana Mae Livingston Porter, was born August 31, 1931 in Minot, North Dakota. He departed his life, Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in his home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven. He was united in marriage to Beatrice Ida Marshall on April 18, 1959 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Together they shared the past forty-nine years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He and his wife moved to the Lake of the Ozarks eleven years ago. He made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Camdenton. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Bible Baptist Church. A private burial will take place at St. Luke's Cemetery in Beecher, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Missionary Emerson Keung in care of Bible Baptist Church of Camdenton.
