Gerald Kenneth Moulder, age 97, a long time resident of Camden County, currently of Garden City, Missouri, was born July 29, 1920 at the family farm in Nonsuch, Missouri. Gerald was the son of Benjamin Valentine Moulder and Mayme Catherine (Garrett) Moulder. He departed his earthly life at 11:03 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Gerald is now with his Heavenly Father. On October 11, 1941, Gerald was united in marriage to Myrene Marie Arnhold, to this union two sons were born, Kenneth Aaron and Gary Michael. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-eight years, Myrene; his parents, Ben and Mayme Moulder; a sister, Muriel Howard; and two brothers, Earl and Garrett Moulder. Gerald is survived by his two sons, Kenneth and wife Glenna Moulder, of Archie, Missouri, and Gary and wife Karen Moulder, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren, Lisa and husband Jeff Houghton, of Anchorage, Alaska, Todd and wife Trisha Moulder of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Eric Moulder of Clearwater, Florida, Erin and husband Aaron Dunn, of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Allicia and husband George Girvan, of Zionsville, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren, Trevor and Elliott Houghton, Riley and Kara Moulder, Matthew and Josh Moulder, Tyler, Lilly, and Maya Dunn, Caleb and Joshua Girvan; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Saulsbury, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Edna Lee Moulder, of Camdenton, Missouri; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gerald was raised on a farm on the Little Niangua River near Macks Creek, Missouri, and was a graduate of Macks Creek High School, where he played both basketball and baseball. After high school, he was employed at various jobs before retiring from Harmon Tire Company in Raymore, Missouri. Gerald loved to be outside. He was always busy and loved to work in one of the many gardens he planted over the years. He loved to share with others and was always generous with a joke, a tall tale, or a prank. However, his greatest generosity was illustrated in the bushels of tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggs he readily handed out to his family and friends. Gerald was a devoted Christian, receiving Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macks Creek at the time of his passing. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at First Baptist Church Macks Creek, Macks Creek, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Parrack Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
