Geraldine "Gerri" Anne Wolff

Geraldine (Gerri) Anne Wolff, 65, passed away after a short battle with cancer on June 26, 2021. Gerri was born September 6, 1955, to Nora and Robert Wolff in Hinsdale, Illinois. The family moved to Overland Park, Kansas, in 1967, where Gerri graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1973. Gerri followed her dream as an artist, graduating from Northwest Missouri State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Gerri then received a Master of Arts in 1989 at the University of Missouri Kansas City majoring in electronic media. While attending UMKC, Gerri received multiple grants for traveling performances around the country in 1986 along with an internship at the Franklin Furnace in New York in 1988. While in KC, Gerri was employed at Graphic Services and was a freelance artist around the country. During this time, Gerri met the love of her life David Stanton and wed in 1999. Through this union she gave birth to her beautiful Heidi Marie. After David’s passing, Gerri moved her family to Camdenton, Missouri and raised Heidi while working at Lake Media publications and most recently Lake Oasis. Gerri leaves behind her loving daughter Heidi Wolff-Stanton, stepsons Dana and David Stanton, sisters Nancy (Chris) Kuse and Noreen (Steve) Loone, brothers Rik and Bob Wolff, nieces Kali Kuse, Kayla (Josh) Davis and Savannah Wolff, nephews Sean Wolff and Chris Loone, sister in-laws Laurie Chang and Kathy Wolff. Gerri joins our loving angels: David Stanton, Nora and Robert Wolff, brothers Steven, Michael and Brian Wolff; grandparents, aunts and uncles, all watching over us. Gerri was loved by family and friends around Camdenton and KC. Her greatest piece of art was her “walking talking sculpture”, daughter Heidi. Services will be in Camdenton, MO at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Saturday July 10, 2021, visitation 11-12:00, funeral mass at 12:00. Burial and memorial service at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO, on Saturday July 31, 2021, visitation at 11:00, memorial service with burial at 12:00.
