Glen Leon Eidson, age 77 of Macks Creek, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Glen was born August 10, 1940 in Modesto, California to Tommie and Vivian Eidson. Glen was saved when he was 10 years old at Pleasant Grove during a revival. He always told that someone called the song "At the Cross". He saw Jesus hanging there and begged his forgiveness. Then Jesus saved him. He then joined Pleasant Grove Church and was baptized. He was an active member of Pleasant Grove Church at the time of his passing. When he was 15 years old God told him he would preach. During a revival in May of 2000, God required him to answer the call to preach. He was ordained November 18, 2001. He pastored Parrack Grove, Little Niangua and Pleasant Grove Churches. He enjoyed going to Church and loved God's people. He was a blessing and strength to the Church and will be greatly missed. Glen married his High School sweetheart Marilyn Rose Bonner on August 29, 1958. They moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area where Glen worked for Sears for 32 years. To this union two children were born, Bethany Kay and Angela Renee'. Glen retired at the age of 50 and moved back to the Macks Creek area where he enjoyed life to its fullest. Glen loved to be outside! He took great pride in grooming the land around his home and mowing Pleasant Grove Cemetery was a joy for him. Glen and Marilyn saw all 50 states and Canadian Provinces. He loved to travel and go on adventures. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters Bethany Henderson of Clinton, Missouri and Angela and Robert Kenney of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; four grandchildren, Amanda and Jeff Sisson, Sarah and Eric Swartz, John and Kristyn Kenney, Ilene and Matt Charlton; fourteen great grandchildren; also one sister Jan and Vernon Andrews, one sister-in-law Linda and Don Worthington; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Bob Hollingsworth. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa (Pappy) and a great friend to many.
