Glenda North

Glenda Rae North, daughter of Raymond E. and Clora Mae Burns Webb, was born March 22, 1957 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, September 5, 2016 in her home, at the age of fifty-nine years, five months, and fourteen days. On November 7, 1975, at Mt. Horeb Church, Glenda was united in marriage to Herb North, and to this union three children were born. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Branch North; and a sister-in-law, Eva Reagan. She is survived by her husband Herb, of the home; her daughters, Jessica North and significant other Mark McKenzie, of Camdenton, Missouri, Shari Lee and significant other Stanley Harris, of Camdenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Aric Manzo-North, Hadley Harris, and Hayden Harris; a brother, Roy Webb, of Camdenton, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Patty Anderson, of Lebanon, Missouri, Vicky Burns and husband Phil, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Kathy Stamper and fiancée Randy Reid, of Linn Creek, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives, as well as many dear friends. Glenda was born in Lebanon and attended Oak Grove High School. She moved back to the Camdenton area at the age of seventeen and shortly after married Herb. They made their home on the Big Niangua River and there she lovingly raised her family. She later worked as a housekeeper for numerous people in the area and she was very proud of her work as well as the friendships that she formed. After working for one particular client for twenty years, she developed a lifelong friendship. Glenda had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. Glenda loved to travel and always looked forward to the yearly trip that she and Herb would take to Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, working in her flower garden, bird watching, taking numerous photos and spending time outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and truly cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Funeral services for Glenda will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 at Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church, Decaturville, Missouri.
