Gloria June Collins

Gloria June Collins, daughter of Melvin and Dollie (Whitaker) Brummitt, was born May 15, 1946 in Browning, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of seventy-seven years, eleven months and thirteen days.



On December 28, 1979, Gloria was united in marriage to Henry C. “Hank” Collins, Jr. and together they shared twenty-one years until his passing on September 30, 2000.



She was also preceded in death by her parents; her significant other, Jack Anderson; a sister Glenda Brummitt; and a brother Eugene Brummitt.



She is survived by her sister, Betty Sue Barned and husband Jim; her sons, Allan Cantrell and wife Jerilie of Camdenton, Missouri, David R. Collins and wife Trisha of Hillsboro, Missouri; granddaughter Jamie Cantrell of Camdenton, Missouri; grandson Christopher Collins of Imperial, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Taylor Palmer, Dillon Dickerson and Greyson Smith, all of Camdenton, Missouri; step-daughter Vicki Blalock of Olathe, Kansas; and a step-son J.L. Anderson of Springfield, Missouri; her hairy child, Layla; as well as a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.



Gloria grew up in Salem, Missouri. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Business Women’s Association.



Gloria worked as the secretary of the International Iron Workers Union and as the secretary and accountant for Construction Enterprises, Inc. She was the owner of Diversified Office Services, INC as well as the Professional Real Estate Organization, INC where she was also an agent and broker.



In her spare time Gloria enjoyed reading, walking with her dog and taking care of her lawn.

Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.


A private family service will be held at a later date.

The Family requests no flowers, instead please send memorial donations to Animal Shelter in care of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Ave, Camdenton, MO 65020.
