Goldie Lee Saari

Goldie Lee Saari (Claxton), 87, passed away March 24, 2021 at Laurie Care Center in Laurie, Missouri. Goldie was the daughter of Harvey and Bertha Claxton of Cumberland City, Tennessee. Goldie lived a full life after retiring as an assistant manager at Arby’s in the Minneapolis area. She moved to Kirkwood, Missouri in the early 2000’s and enjoyed traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks and Michigan to spend time with her daughters. Goldie was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood and volunteered her time there, as well as Wounded Warrior. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Saari, Karen Kunzelmann and husband Mike; her two sons, Harvey Wayne Allred and Merrill Ray Allred, Jr.; her grandchildren, Paula Winter and husband Brad, Carolyn Kennedy, Donald Kennedy and wife Carroll, Gustave Hoelscher III and wife Annette and Christopher Hoelscher; her extended family Mark Kunzelmann and wife Sheri, Sherri Kunzelmann, Bonny Mill and husband Robert; and many great and great-great grandchildren. Laurie Care Center became her extended family during COVID lockdown. Goldie wished to be cremated and spend eternity with her beloved Grand Dog Maggy in a special garden with lots of flowers.
