GRACE McDOUGAL Grace Mae McDougal, daughter of Floyd and Grace Mae McGraw Andrews, was born, July 10, 1932 in Elmira, New York. She departed this life, Friday, November 8, 2013, in Ozark Rehabilitation and Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, three months and twenty-nine days. On May 29, 1948 in Elmira, New York, she was united in marriage to George Ray McDougal and to this union six children were born. Together they shared fifty-one years of marriage until his passing on January 31, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Constance Ann McDougal Carroll and three brothers, Louis, Charles and John. Survivors include five children, Shirley Tomlinson and husband David of Camdenton, Missouri, Janice Weeks and husband Eddie of Camdenton, Missouri, Kenneth McDougal and wife Sharon of Frenchburg, Kentucky, George McDougal of Elmira Heights, New York and Jack McDougal of Abingdon, Maryland; ten grandchildren, Sherri Thompson, Jim Thompson, Anthony McDougal, Tim McDougal, Chris McDougal, Tim Hable, Randy Williams, Michele Dunham, Rebecca Renteria and Tiffany Brooks; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Grace was raised in Elmira, New York. She worked at the Remington Rand Typewriter Factory in the Quality Control Department. She later was a cashier for P&C Grocery Store. Mostly, she enjoyed being a homemaker for her family and grandchildren. Grace made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Camdenton. She had also been a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge, both in New York. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and visiting nursing homes. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Saturday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
