Gregory Duayne Fry

Gregory Duayne Fry, son of Eddie Fry and Carolyn Monnig, was born November 24, 1962, in Lebanon, Missouri. He passed away peacefully at his home from a long-fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer on March 6, 2024.

On December 30, 2000, Greg was united in marriage to Jennifer Jensen in Exira, Iowa and they shared twenty-five years together.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Gina Crabtree.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Fry of the home; his children, Dylan Fry and wife Alexis, of Houston, Missouri, Austyn Fry, Jazlynn Fry and Zayne Fry, all of Montreal, Missouri; a granddaughter, Adalynn Fry; his brothers, Chris Danuser of Kaiser, Missouri, Shannon Boling of Marshall, Missouri and Rick Messer and wife Kim, of Montreal, Missouri; his morning coffee partner, Momma Pam; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Greg had made his profession of faith and was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church.

Greg grew up in the Montreal area and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1981. Following graduation, Greg enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for four years. After he was honorably discharged, Greg worked for the C.I.A. for six years. He later worked at Modine as a welder for seventeen years. Together, Greg and Jenny owned and operated Fry’s Montreal Quick Stop as 3rd generation owner/operators. Greg loved to farm and ran his farm for nearly thirty years.

Greg’s children brought him great joy. He cherished the time spent with them and always made sure that they knew that he was proud of each of them.

In his spare time, Greg enjoyed gardening, fishing with his kids, working on his farm, taking numerous trips with his family and was known for his sense of humor. He loved taking walks with his wife, Jenny. He served as a member of the Montreal Cemetery Committee and was a member of the Camden County Soil and Water Conservation District for many years.

Greg was a loving husband, father, proud grandpa, father-in-law, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends.
