HARLEY MORRISON Harland Marx "Harley" Morrison, son of George William Morrison, Sr. and Setta McDowell Morrison, was born, August 6, 1933 in North Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, March 4, 2010, in Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years, six months and twenty-six days. On October 30, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sharon Lee Adcox. Together they shared thirty-eight years until her passing on July 2, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Morrison, Jr. and two sisters, Wilma Kirkland and Anita Deckard. Survivors include five children, Marcia Moore and husband Bill, Sr. of Eldridge, Missouri, Joe Muscia and wife Patricia of Linn Creek, Missouri, Shona Morrison of Linn Creek, Missouri, Shannon Morrison and wife Codi of Camdenton, Missouri and George Morrison, III and fiance Sherry Rowley of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a sister, Betty McGuire and husband J.R. of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Tommy Morrison and wife Marilyn of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Harley was raised in Kansas City and as a child, the family moved to the Montreal, Missouri area. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Montreal for a short time before moving to Kansas City where he spent time there working for General Motors. He then returned to the lake area where he worked as a farmer and a painter. He made a profession of faith and was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid gun enthusiast. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Montreal Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
