Hazel Webster

HAZEL WEBSTER Hazel Laverne Webster, daughter of Samuel and Manda Cooper Hoskins, was born, September 5, 1916 in South Dakota. She departed this life, Sunday, February 13, 2011, in Saint Luke's Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, five months and eight days. In December of 1937, she was united in marriage to Roy Webster and to this union three sons were born. Together they shared thirty-nine years of marriage until his passing on January 16, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Vincent Webster; a granddaughter, Jackie Webster; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Leo, Claude, Pete and Ray and two sisters, Sarah and Roxie. Survivors include two sons, Leroy Webster and wife Catherine of Parkville, Missouri and Lonnie Webster and wife Edee of Riverside, Missouri; ten grandchildren twenty-five great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Hazel was raised in the Ozarks and lived in Camden County where she lovingly raised her children. She worked as a nurse's aide for Cedar Grove Nursing Home in Camdenton for many years as well as a nursing home in Lebanon. She moved to Parkville, Missouri following the death of her husband. Hazel made a profession of faith and was a member of Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and fox hunting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
