Imogene Davis, daughter of James Theodore and Sybil Zay Allee Wright was born, July 18, 1924 in Richland, Missouri. She departed this life, October 6, 2017, in her home of Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, two months and eighteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Davis and her son Douglas Davis, four brothers James Jr. Wright, Eugene Wright, Jimmy Wright and Joseph Wright. Survivors include her four granddaughters, Rachel Kramer and husband Donovan J. of Camdenton, Missouri; Samantha Hafley and husband Jeremy of Camdenton, Missouri; Rebecca Davis of Camdenton, Missouri, and Cheryl Davis of Camdenton, Missouri; ten great grandchildren, Derek and Paige Hafley, Donovan, McKenzie Rae, and Avery Kramer, DaMarckus, Abigael and Ethan Rhoades, Jacob and Miles Lee; her siblings, Irene Taylor, Patsy Moore, Pansy Miller, Lilly Hess, Corene Gilliam, Darlene Nuttle, Florene Hall, Twyla Reeves, Lyla Robinett, Jerry Wright and Jess Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Imogene was raised in the Richland area and attended Eugene High School. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked in a war plant building planes during World War II. She was one of the Rosie the Riveters and she still has the tool box from working in the factory. After the war was over, Albert and Imogene moved to the Kansas City area where she worked at Trinity hospital as a Nurse’s Aide. Upon their retirement, they moved to Linn Creek and made their home there. Imogene made a profession of faith and was a member of Church of Christ church. She was saved at a young age and attended church every Wednesday and Sunday. In her spare time, she loved to listen and play music, attended bluegrass festivals, go to auctions, quilt and embroider. Imogene was a member of the VFW Post 5923 and Ladies Auxiliary of Camdenton, Missouri. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Glover Chapel Cemetery, Richland, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
