Jacqueline "Jackie" Sue Gordon


Jacqueline "Jackie" Sue Gordon, daughter of James A. Franklin Sr., and Mildred D. McDowell Franklin, was born, June 4, 1953 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday morning, September 28, 2022, in her home, Linn Creek, Missouri surrounded by her loving family at the age of sixty-nine years, three months and twenty-four days.


On June 11, 1977, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles David Gordon and to this union two children were born. Together they shared forty-five years of marriage


She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ronald K. Franklin, Ralph D. Franklin and James A. Franklin, Jr.; her mother-in-law, Mary Gordon and her father-in-law, Karl Gordon.


Survivors include her husband, Charles “Dave” Gordon of the home; her daughter, Sarah Shaw and husband Brian of Linn Creek, Missouri; her son, Charlie Gordon and wife Kara of Stoutland, Missouri; five grandchildren, Scarlett Wickam, Ava and Alice Shaw and Cooper and Kensley Gordon; her sister, Elaine Gilley and husband Jim of Camdenton, Missouri; her sisters-in-law, Vickie Franklin of Linn Creek, Missouri, Julie Franklin of Linn Creek, Missouri and Mary Moeller and husband Jim of Kansas City, Missouri; her brother-in-law, Robert Antonacci of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.


Jackie was raised in Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School Class of 1971. In high school she played basketball, volleyball and softball and was in the choir. After graduation, she attended Southwest Baptist University and Central Methodist College where she also played softball and volleyball. She was active in MYFC at Camdenton United Methodist Church. After Jackie finished school, she went to work at Central Bank as a Bookkeeper and later worked at Janine’s. In her spare time, she played softball in Camdenton for Oly Beer and coached youth softball for many years.


Jackie made a profession of faith and was a charter member of Camdenton United Methodist Church.


She loved going shopping with her mom and sister in Springfield, Missouri and keeping in touch with her classmates. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and everyone loved to hear her sing. On Friday nights, she could always be found on the fifty-yard line watching the Camdenton Laker’s play football. She always supported her children in their sporting events. Jackie and Dave’s door was always open to the many friends that Sarah and Charlie would bring home with them. She loved having family and friends over to visit and eat great meals. She was known for her oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.


So many people have been blessed by having Jackie in their lives. She was a loving wife, mom, nana, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 in Camdenton United Methodist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.


Memorial donations may be made to Camdenton Laker Football Meal Program or Freedom Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
