Jackie was raised in Dorchester and Gillespie, Illinois and later graduated from Gillespie High School. Following her high school graduation, on June 4, 1990, Jackie was united in marriage to Richard Miller and together they shared thirty-two years of marriage.

In her spare time, Jackie enjoyed a variation of different hobbies such as:

Drawing, Jackie has always been an artist. She would create such abstract works of arts. Many of her favorites consisted of fairies, Dragons, Space and fantasy worlds. She would draw pictures of her children’s favorite characters and worlds to hang on their walls. Growing up they didn’t have much so she used her mind to decorate the rooms and lives of her children.

Writing, Jackie was an unbelievable writer and poet. One of her favorite things to do was write. She would always encourage her children to carry journals and write down all their ideas. Growing up she would listen to her children read her songs they had created and stories they would make up. She always encouraged her children to be creative as possible. She knew the power of the mind because she had a powerful mind.

Event Planning, Jackie loved her family and friends with such a fierceness. She enjoyed more than anything seeing all her babies, grandbabies, family and best friends loving and laughing around her. She would create the most inviting and comfortable environment for all to enjoy. She kept everyone close. She reminded everyone to always reach out and love each other. She was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand or advice. She would drop everything for the ones she loved.

Photography, Jackie had an eye for beauty and knew how to capture it for others to enjoy. She loved taking photos of nature, friends, family, and most of all her grand babies.

Reading, there is not a time someone can remember seeing Jackie without a book. She enjoyed diving into a story any free moment she had. Stephen King was one of her favorite authors. Her favorite past time was laying in the tub at night enjoying a good book.

Outside of her hobbies, Jackie was very interested in:

Aliens- Jackie was hooked on the paranormal. Any mystery she could find, or out of this world information, would always be a topic of conversation. Jackie enjoyed the unknown and under studied.

Halloween- favorite holiday. Loved to decorate and get spooky. Loved visiting haunted houses around the US even when not around Halloween. She was a huge fan of the paranormal.

Kids and Grandkids – Jackie cared for her babies, and her babies’ babies, more than anything in this world. There is not a thing she wouldn’t do to show them love or help them in their time of need. She was a caregiver, a solid source of honest advice and knowledge. She helped her family succeed in any way she possibly could. Be it School, work, emotional uncertainty or any personal issue, she was there to shine light and provide guidance.

Jackie was a loving and a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
