JAMES CLIFFORD McQUEEN James Clifford McQueen, son of Lester Alexander and Erma Frances Clopp McQueen Ward, was born, December 25, 1938 near Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in his home near Eldon, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, eight months and nineteen days. He was united in marriage to Rose Ellen Switzer in 1958. On June 21, 1968 in Linn Creek Baptist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Price. Together they shared forty-three years of marriage He was preceded in death by parents and a step-father, William F. Ward. Survivors include his wife, Beverly McQueen of the home; two sons, Jimmy Dale McQueen and wife Becky of Brunswick, Missouri and Randall James McQueen of the home; five daughters, Debbra Sue Lankford and husband Joseph of Eldon, Missouri, Eva Marie Mullins and husband Kenneth of Eldridge, Missouri, Sally Joann McQueen of Sedalia, Missouri, Amanda Beth Yaryan and husband Steve of Waverly, Missouri and Kathy Lynn Wilson and husband Robert of Eldon, Missouri; two brothers, Harold Eugene McQueen and William Robert Ward and wife Susan all of Camdenton, Missouri; four sisters, Carolyn Halderman and husband Roy, Delores Leona Crall and husband James, Linda Sue Burns and husband Dale and Patricia Ann Smith and husband Bill all of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Albert H. Price and wife Doris of Linn Creek, Missouri and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. James worked at the Jefferson City Correctional Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. He retired after twenty-three years of faithful service. James made a profession of faith and was baptized at the Shepherd Baptist Church, Dixon, Missouri in 1976. In his spare time he enjoyed talking to family and friends on the CB radio. He enjoyed being outdoors doing gardening and carpentry. In earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding and training horses. His family was very important to him and he found great joy in his grandchildren. James Clifford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 in Myetta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
