James W. Hagston

James William Hagston, son of Ernest Hagston and Kathy Green, was born March 19, 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of forty two years, ten months, and twenty days. James was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Hagston. He is survived by his mother, Kathy Green and husband Ron, of Montreal, Missouri, and Phil Bosley and wife Debbie of Warsaw, Missouri; three brothers, Mathew Hagston and wife Nikki of Willard, Missouri, Brad Anderson and wife Joni of Lebanon, Missouri, and Paul Brown; two sisters: Gena Becker of Iberia, and Angel Green and significant other Eric of Iberia, Missouri; fur baby, Oscar; six nephews, Aaron, Tristan, Trevor, Jonathon, Brady and Brennan; six nieces, Lacy, Shantel, Catalina, Makenzie, Natalie, and Lizzie; grandparents, Lloyd Reed and wife Juanita of Ulman, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. James was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1993. While he was in high school, he was active in the Vo-tech, especially the electrical trades program. James was a thoughtful and caring person always doing things for his family and friends. His children were his fur baby Oscar and his nephews and nieces. He loved his family, and cherished getting things for the kids. They knew Uncle James would bring them things just to surprise them. Brennan’s favorite question for him was “Uncle James did you bring me some junk?” and of course, Uncle James would have something for him. He made each of them Christmas stockings and always had Easter prizes after the big egg hunt. Most don’t know, but every year he went to Wal-Mart at Christmas and paid off the layaway for at least two families. James loved to fish especially at the creek. Last year he had a pond built on the family property so we can all fish right at home. He did finally reward himself last year with a Jaguar car. That was something he always wanted. He very much deserved it. James was a loving son, grandson, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
