Jane Frances (Reggiani) Wolfe

Jane Frances Wolfe was born July 11, 1945 to James and Betty Reggiani in Jersey City, New Jersey and was welcomed into Heaven on July 25, 2022 at the age of 77. On November 7, 1964 Jane married her soulmate, Tom Wolfe, and during their nearly 58 years of marriage, they were blessed with five children, eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her mother and father; as well as by her sisters, Tishy Einstein and Judy Murray; her son, Thomas Michael Wolfe; her daughter, Tara Smith; and her son-in-law Rick Smith. Growing up in New Jersey, Jane was the eldest of seven children, with five sisters and one brother. Life wasn’t easy growing up, and Jane learned early to work hard and pitch in however she could, but also to trust in God and to enjoy the life she had. Her siblings remember her not only for her courage, strength, and trailblazing example as an older sister, but also as a young lady who was always excited to get dolled up and dance the jitterbug like the kids on American Bandstand. New Jersey was home to Jane and Tom, as well as their first three children, until 1973 when a portion of the Wolfe family headed west for new adventures. The original plan was to buy a farm, sell it for a profit, and move on to the next one – but once they settled in, they built a home and a legacy in Climax Springs, Missouri, and they never left. In 1976, Wolfe Brothers Farms, Inc. started a family-operated dairy farm, and Jane was officially a farmer’s wife and a farm mom – which could mean anything on a given day, and even made her a farmhand, milking cows when there wasn’t enough help. In 1978 Tom and Jane were blessed with twins and their family was complete. Jane’s children remember her as a master seamstress and the maker of all their clothes as kids. They remember her love of dancing and of music, from Frankie Avalon and Bobby Vinton to Frankie Valley and the Shirelles. They remember her willingness to open her home to their friends or to anyone who needed a loving place to stay, whether it was for a night or an entire summer. Beginning in the late 80’s, Tom and Jane owned Lake Video, where Jane rented movies and made memories, along with delicious pizzas, subs, and salads. At Lake Video, she also became a friendly face to everyone in town. In 2000, Jane took a position with the Climax Springs School District, eventually becoming the counselor’s secretary. She lit up the halls and kept everyone in line for 20 years and was truly fulfilled by her work there. To honor Jane’s memory, the family plans to work with the school to erect a bench bearing her name, near the playground, so a part of her can always be where she was so comfortable – around a bunch of laughing kids. Jane was a longtime member of the Climax Springs Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Tom Wolfe; children John (Jill) Wolfe, Joshua (Brooke) Wolfe, and Jennifer (Jason) Cline; daughter-in-law Rhonda Wolfe; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings Linda (Karl) Wolfe, Lizzie (Dennis) Frey; Jimmy (Sharon) Reggiani, and Donna (Phil) Noonan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends. Jane Wolfe was a beloved wife, Mom, and Grandma. She was the rock of her family, a faithful servant of the Lord, and a true blessing to her community. She will be missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home and are incomplete at this time.
