JANET MELVILLE Janet Marie Melville, daughter of Leo John Schott, Jr. and Juanita Mae Barnett Schott, was born, February 27, 1941 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy years and twenty-seven days. On December 7, 1987 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Edward Melville. Together they shared twenty-three years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, Edward Melville of the home; four children, Michael Corwin and wife Rhonda of Kansas City, Missouri, Matt Corwin and wife Sharon and Mitch Corwin and wife Machelle all of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mindy Brown of Mound City, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, Matthew Corwin, Amanda Ellsworth, Whitney Mildfeldt, Brianna Corwin, Cameron Corwin, Kent Beck, Sean Beck, Kristen Stewart, Hannah Brown, Taylor Corwin, Selena Corwin and Camden Corwin; six great-grandchildren; her mother, Juanita Schott of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Lee Schott and wife Jo Ann and Chuck Schott all of St. Joseph, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Janet was raised in St. Joseph and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School. She lived in St. Joseph for many years, where she worked as a beautician, telephone operator and manager of an employment agency. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in the early 1980's. While at the lake she trained young people to get an education and get jobs for JTPA. Janet was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and the lake. She had lots of fun playing BINGO and scratchers lottery tickets. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Private family burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Laurie. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
