J.D. PITTMAN John David "J.D." Pittman of Linn Creek, departed this life, Thursday, November 15, 2012, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy years and two days. J.D. was born, November 13, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Forrest Olen Pittman and Gladys (Moulder) Pittman, On July 23, 1962 in Sedalia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Kathryn Iiams. Together they shared fifty years of marriage. J.D. graduated in the class of 1960 from Camdenton High School and worked as a T.V. repairman with his dad at their business, Pittman Zenith Sales and Service in Linn Creek. He later drove a dump truck for John Carter Sand and Gravel. For the past thirty years, he was sole owner of USA Cycle, Harley Davidson parts and service in Camdenton. J.D. was an "old school biker" and enjoyed working on Harleys doing engine re-building, customizing and repairs of all kinds. Most of all, he liked to ride his 1961 96 cubic inch Pan/Shovel Harley that he built himself. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay of the home; one son, John Pittman and wife Patricia of Linn Creek, Missouri; his mother, Gladys Pittman of Linn Creek, Missouri; three step-granddaughters, Brandi Boak and husband Steve of Camdenton, Missouri, Stacy Silverwood and husband Ryan of Columbia, Missouri and Erin Burns and husband Tommy of Camdenton, Missouri; six step-great-grandchildren, Jessica Boak, Hannah Boak, Mason Silverwood, Ryley Silverwood, Jodi Silverwood and Faith Silverwood; an aunt, Pauline Moulder of Linn Creek, Missouri as well as several other relatives and many friends. J.D. was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Olen Pittman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Linn Creek United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
