Malachi Edward Brazil, son of Eddie and Jessica Brazil, was born April 28, 2015. He departed this life Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of two years, ten months, and twenty-nine days. He is survived by his father, Eddie Brazil and brother, Jordan Brazil, of the home; his maternal grandparents, Dave and Connie Weyer, of Camdenton, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Dee Brazil; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives. Malachi idolized his big brother, Jordan, and tried to do everything he did. He loved going for boat rides and was a Tag-A-Long with his grandpa Dave. He was a huge Paw Patrol fan, loved Mickey Mouse and enjoyed watching Hocus Pocus. He shared his mom’s infectious smile and giving and receiving bear hugs made him giggle. Malachi always enjoyed playing with monster trucks. Malachi joined Jessica and Eddie’s family when he was six months old and April 20, 2017 became his “gotcha” date. This is when he was legally adopted. Jessica was born in Osage Beach and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 2002, where she was active in Bel-Cantos and Concert Choir. She attended the University of Central Missouri for a time before returning home to the Lake Area. She worked as a substitute teacher and para for a time in Dogwood Elementary. Jessica was active in the Lake of the Ozarks Boating Community and was an active member of the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association. She was serving as the General Manager of Advantage Marine at the time of her passing. She loved the water and devoted her life to making the lake a safe place for all to enjoy and was teaching a boating safety course at the LCTC. Jessica had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was actively involved in her church youth group in her younger years. Jessica’s life revolved around her children and husband. She was very active in her children’s lives and participated in as many of their school functions as possible. Jessica had a passion for helping children in foster care and alongside Lou Miller, started a group for foster parents in Lebanon and Camden County. Jessica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 in the Camdenton Middle School. Burial will follow in Garber Memorial Estates, Laurie, Missouri.
