JESSIE FORBES Jessie Maxine Forbes, daughter of Richard and Altha Jane Thornton Witt, was born, December 6, 1923 in Brumley, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, February 28, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years, two months and twenty-two days. On April 14, 1942 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Clifton "Chick" Forbes and to this union one daughter was born. Together they shared fifty-seven years of marriage until his passing on December 25, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Junior Witt, David Witt, Richard Witt, Jack Witt and Abradale Witt and two sisters, Frances Roberts and Wilmer Dean Terrell. Survivors include her daughter, Scarlett Seibert of Camdenton, Missouri; two adopted daughters, Tawni Konwinski and Cassidy Martin both of Camdenton, MO; two grandchildren Jayda Konwinski and Levi Phillips; a sister, Georgia Knight of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Bob Witt and wife Kathy of Bevier, Missouri and Walt Witt of Kansas City, Kansas; a brother-in-law, Paul Sonny Roberts and wife Donna of Kansas City, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Barbara Witt of Baisor, Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jessie was raised in Montreal and Camdenton and was a graduate of Stoutland High School. She taught in the Camdenton area in a two-room school house for several years. She worked in the Night Hawk Gift Shop and made many arrangements for the store. She later worked for Parrish Super Market and did home day care. Jessie made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. Her church was very important to her. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers and collecting dolls. Most of all, spending time with her family brought her joy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Myetta Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
