JOHN "ANDY" ANDERSON John Dick Anderson, son of the late Edward H. and Dora Jean Campbell Anderson, was born, April 12, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa. He departed this life, Saturday, October 25, 2008 in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of sixty years, six months and thirteen days. On July 16, 1978 in Grayling, Michigan, he was united in marriage to Carole Ann Ragona and together they shared the past thirty years. Survivors include his loving wife, Carole Anderson of the home; a son, Eric John Anderson of West Chicago, Illinois; a daughter, Andrea Mahoney and husband Blake of Schaumburg, Illinois; four grandchildren, Nolan and Payton Mahoney and Ashley and Amber Anderson; a sister, Laura Anderson of San Antonio, Texas and host of other relatives and many friends. Andy was raised in Elk Grove, Illinois. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marines. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He returned to Illinois, where he began his career as a telephone installer for Illinois Bell. After retirement, he and his wife retired to Camdenton, Missouri. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Camdenton. He loved time spent on the water, boating and riding a wave runner. He enjoyed working around the house. However, time spent with his family was most important. Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and many friends Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008 in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
