JOHN GARCIA John Raymond Garcia, son of Jack Anthony and Irene Lydia Kloepper Garcia, was born, December 9, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, November 13, 2012, near Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty years, eleven months and four days. On August 10, 2012, he was united in marriage to Laura Jo Colyer. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2012. Survivors include a daughter, Tasha Garcia of Camdenton, Missouri; two granddaughters, Hailey and Alexis; his parents, Jack A. and Irene L. Garcia of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Toni Lippincott and husband Jan of Auburn, Kansas; three brothers, Richard Louis Garcia and wife Paula of Lincoln, Nebraska, Robert Anthony Garcia of Fairway, Kansas and Mark Garcia-Anderson of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. John was raised in Overland Park, Kansas and attended private school there. He attended trade school and learned marine mechanics. In 1982, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where he pursued a career in marine mechanics. He was well known at all of the marinas in the lake area. John was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. He loved fishing and spent many hours on the lake enjoying this hobby. He also enjoyed cars and working on them. He was known as a generous and caring man who would help anyone in need. John was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and a caring neighbor and friend. Although his life here was brief, he impacted many lives and his memory will linger in the hearts of his family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012 in St. Anthony Catholic Church under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Kansas. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist his daughter and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
