John Musser

JOHN DAVID MUSSER John David, Musser, son of John Melvin and Frances Penniston Musser, was born, August 23, 1948 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He departed this life, Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-four years, nine months and thirteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda Musser and a son, Johnny Bob Musser. Survivors include his life partner, Robin J. Jones of Montreal, Missouri; a son, Cody Charles Musser and wife Sonja Ann of Linn Creek, Missouri; three grandchildren, Belle Ann Musser, Jonathon Charles Musser and Gabriella Shawna Rose Musser; a sister, Sondra Musser Gaunt and husband Roger of Breckenridge, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. John David was raised on a farm in Livingston County and attended Mooresville and Breckenridge schools. He was a graduate of Breckenridge High School. He worked for Bowyer in Mooresville and later for Midland Brick and Tile. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks he worked with his uncle, William Lee Penniston, Jr. and later Electrovert. He owned and operated Lair of Imagination, Inc. He was a member of Rocky Mountain Men - Osage Trace, Society for Creative Anachronism where he served as Shaman of Thunder and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He also did Taekwondo and was Pastor of a non-denominational church. In his spare time, he enjoyed teaching welding and using a forge. He was a student of life and sharing what he learned with others. He was a loving life partner; father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
