John Short

John Reasor Short of Camdenton, Missouri passed away on December 4, 2020 at the young age of 74. John was born on July 19, 1946 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Walter and Eufa Short. John was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1964 to 1968 honorably and received many metals of achievement and excellence. John married Linda Webster on September 28, 1970 in Camdenton, Missouri. They were happily married for 50 years. John was a supervisor at Sunstrand in Camdenton for over 20 years. He was an active member of Linn Creek Baptist Church. John enjoyed spending time with family, woodworking, fishing, and hunting for that elusive garage sale treasure. He was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help anyone in need at any time. John is survived by his wife, Linda Short, his daughter Tina Parker and two siblings, Ron Short and Rita Wilkinson. John has four grandchildren: J.R. & Melissa Stout and Cole & Ryan Parker. He was preceded in death by two children, daughter Tammy Stout and son John Short and by his sister, Martha Chupp. He will be truly missed! Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 8, 2021 at Linn Creek Baptist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri. Interment will take place in Percival Cemetery following the memorial service. Memorials may be sent to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, MO 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
