Judith Jenell Davis

Judith “Judy” Jenell (Garman) Davis, daughter of Robert and Grace (Hamilton) Garman was born September 7, 1942 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She departed this life on July 13, 2018 in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, ten months, and six days. On March 3, 1962 she was united in marriage to Lyle Davis and to this union three children were born. Together they shared fifty-six wonderful years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Garman. Survivors include her mother, Grace; husband, Lyle, of the home; daughters, Lisa Shaffer and husband Jack of Kansas City, Missouri; Cynthia Riddle and husband J.C. of Parkville, Missouri; one son, Kent Davis and wife Charlotte of Plattsburg, Missouri; a brother, Joe Garman of Joplin, Missouri, along with eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Judy was raised in Richland Missouri where she met and fell in love with her husband, Lyle. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri where they raised three kids and spent thirty-five years there. Judith retired from the North Kansas City School District as an Administrative Assistant. She and Lyle moved to Climax Springs, Missouri permanently in 2003. Judy made a profession of faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs. She volunteered for church events such as Vacation Bible School. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed playing card and board games. She loved the company of her grandchildren and relaxing on her big front porch in Climax Springs. Judy was also well known for her cross stitch talent. She was a loving and a caring wife, mother and grandmother. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs, Missouri on July 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 18, at Terrace Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri at 10:00 a.m.
