June Daniels

Alice June Daniels, of Linn Creek, Missouri passed Monday, December 27, 2021 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. June was born at Saffordville, Kansas, April 29, 1928 the daughter of Albert William and Bertha Leigh (Martin) Sampson. June attended elementary schools in Kansas and high school at Mountain View, Missouri and then taught in a one room school house in Shannon County in 1946-1947. She enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday School classes for many years. On June 18, 1948, June was united in marriage to Floyd L. Daniels at Mountain View, Missouri and to this union two children were born, Kerry and Alan. Floyd passed away October 14, 1981. June was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a caring friend and neighbor. She loved working in her garden growing vegetables and beautiful flowers in her yard. She had a God given talent for making things grow. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was so thankful to the Lord for His faithfulness. She enjoyed singing, especially the hymns that had so much meaning to them. She was widely read, and liked to do crossword puzzles and to write poetry. She did a lot of sewing, making many garments and other items. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She baked and decorated the cake for her parents 50th wedding anniversary. June always looked forward to spending birthdays and holidays with her family who she dearly loved. June is survived by her sons, Kerry E. of Camdenton, Missouri and Alan of Linn Creek, Missouri; her granddaughter Sherrie Angel and husband Yonmar of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandsons, Kerry J. and wife Alicia of Osage Beach, Missouri and Mark and Mellissa of Linn Creek, Missouri; and her great-grandchildren, Sydney and Braden Coffey of Camdenton and Carter and Alivia of Osage Beach. June was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bertha Sampson; her sister Lillie Mae Sampson; her two brothers, Robert and Leroy Sampson and her granddaughter, Walda Leigh Daniels. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in Linn Creek Baptist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri. Burial will follow in Percival Cemetery, Linn Creek. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Percival Cemetery and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
