Katherine 'Kathy' Lister

KATHERINE "KATHY" SUE LISTER Katherine Sue Lister, daughter of Donald Wilson and Iris Hickman, was born, March 16, 1952 in Kansas City, KS. She departed this life, Tuesday, December 8, 2009, in her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-seven years, eight months and twenty-two days. On October 15, 1970 in Eldridge, Missouri she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Eugene Lister and to this union two daughters were born. While in the fourth grade, Kathy and Bob met and she told her sister at that time that she was going to marry that boy. At the age of seventeen Kathy and Bob met again at Bagnell Dam Strip and were married two weeks later. Together they have shared the past thirty-nine years. She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Darrell Martin and her grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Robert Lister of the home; daughters, Wendy Schulte and husband Matt of Holts Summit, Missouri and Tammy Lister of Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Jennifer and Brennan Ellis and Jaydan and Jordan Farrell; brother, Jerry Wilson and wife Donna of Kansas City, Kansas; sisters, Judy McGuire of Osawatonie, Kansas and Donna Tennal of Kansas City, Kansas. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Kathy spent her younger years in the Kansas City, Kansas area and moved to Lake of the Ozarks area. Kathy made a profession of faith. In her spare time Kathy loved watching the birds. She especially loved the hummingbirds. She had three Yorkies; Shelby, Tinker and Sugar that were very special to her. Most of all though, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them in special ways that only grandma's can do such as Oreo's for dinner and gum for hugs. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grainger Cemetery, Climax Springs, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
