Kathryn LeaAnn Brookhart, daughter of Kevin Ray and Wanda Lea (Wilson) Brookhart, was born March 5, 1982 in Keokuk, Iowa. She departed this life Saturday, September 21, 2019 in her home at the age of thirty-seven years, six months, and sixteen days. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jody Thompson; her maternal grandparents, M.H. and Naomi Wilson; her paternal grandfather, Ralph Brookhart; and an aunt, AdaLene Lawton. LeaAnn is survived by her parents; a sister, Tamire Vahle, of Quincy, Illinois; her nephews, Shane Vahle and Cassidy, Shawn Vahle and fiancé Paige, Tommy Vahle and Emily, Timmy Valhe and wife Rona, and Tyler Vahle, and Austin Howe; her paternal grandmother, Imogene Brookhart, of Newton, Iowa; her aunt who was like a sister to her, Carrie Christensen; her aunts and uncles, Susan Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Brenda Wilson, Porter Wilson, Ron Brookhart, Craig Brookhart and wife Linda; as well as numerous cousins and a host of other relatives and many dear friends. LeaAnn moved with her family to the Lake area at the age of five and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 2000. She spent her life working as an Office Manager at various places throughout the lake area and was working at the Blue Heron at the time of her passing. In her spare time, LeaAnn enjoyed spending time on the Lake, reading, playing Frisbee golf, hiking, and taking vacations with her family. She loved her nephews dearly and cherished the time spent with them. LeaAnn had a fondness for animals, especially rescue dogs and cats. She had a smile that would light up any room. LeaAnn was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
