Kelly Lawrence Edwards, son of Kelly Elsworth and Madelyn Margaret Williams Edwards, was born, October 13, 1950 in, Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Friday, December 24, 2021, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-one years, two months and eleven days. On August 15, 1992 in Decaturville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Kimetha Miller. Together they shared twenty-nine years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Barbara Burns and Carol Beaman. Survivors include his wife, Kimetha Edwards of the home; his children, Shane Edwards and wife Robbin of Kansas City, Missouri, Sam Edwards and wife Carrie of Marion, Arkansas and Johnny Ray Miller and wife Trisha of Blairstown, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Brad Edwards and wife Chris, Janice McGuire, Neal Edwards and wife Nikki and Tim Edwards and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Kelly grew up in Kansas City, Camdenton and Memphis spending the majority of his life in Camdenton. Entered the United States Army and faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged. He met and married Karen Denny and together they had two sons. He worked at the Tirebarn and other service stations and also for an Airless Paint Company. Kelly was saved at an early age. He had pastored at Myetta Missionary Baptist Church and Big Niangua Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching Chief’s football and NASCAR especially Carl Edwards his favorite driver. The times he enjoyed the most, was singing and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
