Kenneth Ray Keeney

Kenneth Ray Keeney, son of Arthur Robert and Ida Gregory Keeney, was born November 16, 1944 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, January 10, 2022 in Lake Regional Hospital, at the age of seventy-seven years, one month and twenty-five days. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Eidson and husband Bobby; a sister, Lois Mae, who passed in infancy; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Keeney. He is survived by his significant other, Lois Hoffman, of Stoutland, Missouri; daughters, Lydia Briscoe and husband Alan, of Roach, Missouri and Lynetta Smith and husband Billy, of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandsons, Cole Briscoe of Harrisonville, Missouri and Dalton Smith of Camdenton, Missouri; two granddaughters, Shelby Windsor and husband Gage, of Gardner, Kansas and Shaelyn Smith of Osage Beach, Missouri; two brothers, James “Sonny” Keeney, of Camdenton, Missouri and Bill Keeney and wife Shawnee, of Camdenton, Missouri; his nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Kenneth grew up in Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1963. Following graduation, he started working in the produce department at Gerbes Supermarket. Kenneth briefly owned and operated Palace Standard Filling Station before going to work at Ready Gas. Kenneth also operated Linch Gravel with Bub Linch, and owned an upholstery shop for many years. Kenneth later worked for Camden County Road and Bridge as a dump truck driver, retiring in 2009 after twenty-one years of service. Kenneth was a skilled woodworker and made many beautiful pieces throughout the years. He and Lois enjoyed attending many craft shows and visiting antique shops during their travels. Kenneth also liked to watch NASCAR. He loved his family dearly and truly cherished the time spent with them. Kenneth was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Myetta Cemetery. No formal visitation is scheduled. Memorial donations may be made to Myetta Cemetery in care of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
