Larry Dean Brown, son of Samuel Harma and Gertrude Brown, was born, November 20, 1950 in Oakman, Alabama. He departed this life, Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of seventy years, one month and three days. On July 22, 1974 in Linn Creek Baptist Church, he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Salsman and to this union two sons were born. Together they shared forty-six years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Earl Brown and Roger Brown. Survivors include his wife, Kay Brown of the home; two sons, Glen Brown and wife Sandra of Holts Summit, Missouri and Marc Brown and wife Alicia of Montreal, Missouri; four grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Brown of Hanceville, Alabama and Kenneth Brown and wife Linda of Lebanon, Tennessee; four sisters, Colleen Combs of Clarksville, Tennessee, Ann Franks of Pinson, Alabama, Faye Asmus of Pinson, Alabama and Linda Smith and husband Phillip of Moody, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Larry was raised and attended school in Oakman, Alabama. He joined the United States Army and served until December 1, 1976. Larry worked as a general laborer. In his spare time, he loved to tinker especially with his tractor. Hunting and fishing were something he shared with his boys when they were younger. When Larry decided to retire, he took it very seriously. He could often be found hanging out with his buddies. The time Larry enjoyed the most was time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Due to covid-19 concerns the family will be having a private service at a later date. Friends and family may visit the funeral home from 8:00-4:00 on Thursday, January 7, 2021 to sign the register book and pay their final respects. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Free Store and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.

Due to covid-19 concerns the family will be having a private service at a later date. Friends and family may visit the funeral home from 8:00-4:00 on Thursday, January 7, 2021 to sign the register book and pay their final respects.
