Larry Joe Parrish

Larry Joe Parrish, of Camdenton, Missouri, son of Joe Parrish and Zelta (Cooley) Parrish, was born, March 2, 1942 in Newtown, Missouri. He departed this life, December 8, 2024, in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, nine months and six days.

He was united in marriage to his High School Sweetheart, Anna and to this union two children were born. Together they shared twelve years of marriage. After moving to Independence, Missouri, Larry met Donna, who lived just down the street, and after a short courtship, the two were married. They share thirty-nine and a half years of marriage until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Brian McCall; granddaughter, Leah Martineze; and daughter-in-law, Trawna.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Parrish; two sons, John Thomas Parrish and wife Coleen, and Joel Hall Parrish; brother John Wood Parrish and wife Valerie; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Larry was raised in Newtown, Northern Missouri, but eventually moved to Independence. He worked for Hallmark Greeting Cards for 34 years. He and Donna moved to the Lake of the Ozarks after Donna retired.

Larry was an active member of the Freemasons and Eastern Star.

In his spare time, he hunting with his sons and family. Larry also enjoyed traveling with Donna, driving and cruising, and loved going to Colorado to visit family where they would often camp.

He was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at “Old” Salem Cemetery in Independence, Missouri on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
