LARRY MOORE Lawrence Eldon Moore, son of John Lem Moore and Lettie Geneva Plummer Moore, was born, October 11, 1925 in Seneca, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-four years, eight months and four days. On July 26, 1947 in Santa Ana, California, he was united in marriage to Patsy Pauline Wright and to this union four children were born. Together they shared the past sixty-two years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth Glen and Marvin Moore and a grandson, Joseph Guido Colagrassi. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Moore of the home; two daughters, Myra Kay Colagrossi and husband Joseph of Anaheim, California and Connie Zay Parks and husband J.D. of Montreal, Missouri; two sons, Danny Lawrence Moore of Costa Mesa, California and Mark Eldon Moore and wife Colleen of Normal, Illinois; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Olva Vaughn of Antioch, California and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Larry was raised in Seneca, Missouri and was a graduate of Neosho High School. After graduation, he moved to California and worked for Southern NH3 Service Company. While in California, he met and married his wife. In 1963, they moved to their farm in Richland, Missouri where they live today. He retired from Tan-Tar-A in 1987 after thirty years of service. He raised Normandy Cattle on his farm. Larry was baptized into Christ many years ago and lived a committed life of faith and love before God and among his family and neighbors. He was a member of the Camdenton Church of Christ. His church was very important to him and he always did what he could to take care of the church and the members. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his farm, cutting wood and working in the garden. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glover Chapel Cemetery, near Richland. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Camdenton Church of Christ and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
