Lauren A Rubi Lauren Ashley Rubi, daughter of Miguel Rubi and Carmelita Feliz Martin, was born, March 8, 1991in Bakersfield, California. She departed this life, December 16, 2017, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of twenty-six years, nine months and eight days. She is survived by her mother Carmelita Martin and father Jim of Camdenton, Missouri; her father, Miguel Rubi of Bakersfield, California; two sisters, Maria Rivera and husband Rigo of Grover Beach, California and Liceth Rubi of Bakersfield, California; one brother, Miguel Rubi of Bakersfield, California; her grandmothers, Alice Torres of Bakersfield, California, Frankie Martin of Warsaw, Missouri and Marta Rubi of El Salvador, California and a host of other relatives and many friends. Lauren was raised in Bakersfield, California. Lauren was a member of the Warsaw Bible Church of Warsaw, Missouri. Lauren was a driven young lady. She had completed a Graphic Arts Class and an Animal Care Technology Class in which she received certificates of completion in both. She had worked doing graphic art projects for the school, worked at an animal shelter, was a file clerk at an attorney’s office and her last job was a team member at a McDonald’s Restaurant. In her spare time, Lauren loved to draw and do art painting. She made needle felt animal characters. She had written many beautiful poems and was blessed with the talent of training puppies. Lauren has blessed her family and friends with many wonderful memories. We celebrate her life and accomplishments. We would love to give a special thanks to Shelly Swihart, to whom thru her act of kindness that she had shown to Lauren, that we know our daughter was not alone. We also would like to thank Dr. Shirley Watkins, Cibile Elliott, Lake Regional Hospital and Allee-Holman Howe Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Warsaw Bible Church, in Warsaw, Missouri with a local service at Warsaw Baptist Church, Warsaw, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the church.. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
