LARRY GORING Lawrence Carl Edward Goring (known to all as "Larry") was born March 25, 1918 in Kochiching County, Minnesota, son of the late Edward August and Rena Melson Goring and went home to be with his Lord Jesus Monday, February 6, 2011 (just seven weeks before his 94th birthday). He died at the home of daughter, Joetta Jackson, in Robinson, Texas, where he has resided since May 2003. On August 20, 1939, Larry married Mildred Ella Perry and to this union four daughters and one son were born, and they later adopted another son. Larry and his family accepted Christ as Savior while living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and entered missionary training in 1955 with New Tribes Mission in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. He and Mildred served at New Tribes Mission headquarters in Wisconsin, at the school for missionaries' children in Bolivia, and as part of a missionary team in Mexico. They served at the headquarters of the Institute of Basic Life Principles in Oak Brook, Illinois and at the NTM Missionary Training Center in Roach, Missouri. Larry's never-changing, unconditional love permeated all phases of his ministry and was most experienced and appreciated by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred, one brother and six sisters, and two infant granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Big Niangua Cemetery, Roach. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel.
