Lenny Dwaine Jeffries was born December 30, 1945 in Montreal, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, December 23, 2019 in Moberly Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, eleven months, and twenty-three days. Lenny was preceded in death by his father, Alex Jeffries; and two brothers, Galen and Kenny Jeffries. He is survived by his mother, Adeline Jeffries, of Montreal, Missouri; his siblings, Larry Jeffries and wife Linda, of Richland, Missouri, Patricia Odom of Richland, Missouri; Pamala Denny and husband Larry, of Lebanon, Missouri, Phyllis Quillen and husband Roy, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Buddy Jeffries of Bethalto, Illinois; and Penny Brady and husband Glen, of Montreal, Missouri; Lenny was baptized early in his life and rededicated his life to the Lord in 2005. He loved to follow horse racing and had been a jockey in his younger life when he lived in Kentucky and Florida. He was also a rodeo competitor with bronc and bull riding and rode many times at JbarH Rodeo in Camdenton, Missouri. Lenny was an avid songwriter. He was often described as a character who loved to laugh and joke around with his friends. Lenny faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1967. Lenny was a loving son and brother and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue in care of the funeral home at 15 Clint Ave, Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
