LEONARD F. DONOHO Leonard Francis Donoho, son of Francis H. and Cordia Alma Whorton Donoho, was born, June 16, 1932 in Jackson, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, November 14, 2010, in University Medical Center of El Paso, El Paso, Texas at the age of seventy-eight years, four months and twenty-nine days. On October 5, 1967 in Phoenix, Arizona, he was united in marriage to Shirley R. Stuart. Together they shared the past forty-three years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Leonard F. Donoho, Jr. and a grandson, Michael Donoho. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Donoho of Phoenix, Arizona; three children, Mike Donoho and wife Debbie of St. Joseph, Missouri, Julie Thornton and husband Russell of Clarksdale, Missouri and Tamara Fadeley and husband Dean of Phoenix, Arizona; three brothers, Jerry Donoho of Lancaster, Texas, Bill Donoho and wife Clara of Columbia, Missouri and Jim Donoho and wife Judy of Trinity, Texas; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Leonard was raised in Northern Missouri and attended school there. He worked as an automobile mechanic. In his late 30's he became a sheet metal worker. He was injured on the job and became disabled and was only able to work sporadically after that. After leaving Missouri, Leonard lived most of his life in Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona before moving to the lake area with Shirley in 1995. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge and Sheet Metal Workers Local 359 in Phoenix, Arizona. Leonard loved the land. He was happiest on an old tractor clearing land, planting or just hiking through the woods. He was a true nature lover, who loved to hunt and fish in his earlier years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. The family requests that no flowers be sent; rather memorial donations may be made to Brain Injury Association of America and left at the funeral home, mailed to 1608 Spring Hill Road, Suite 110, Vienna, VA 22182 or www.biausa.org/donate. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
