Lewis Lee Bertoncino Jr

Lewis Lee “Bert” Bertoncino Jr., son of Lewis Lee & Matilda (Pouche) Bertoncino, was born on January 23, 1954 and departed this life on January 29, 2021. At the time of his passing, he was sixty-seven years of age. Bert is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Julie Bertoncino; five children, Henry & wife Kayla Bertoncino, Stephen & wife Beth Bertoncino, Derek Bertoncino, Lanette & husband Paul Scott and Trisha & husband J.W. Scott; one sister, Joyce & husband Terry McEntire; twenty-two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many friends and other family members whom will all truly miss him. Bert was born in Girard, Kansas but at an early age moved to Independence, Missouri where he was raised and graduated from High School. Shortly after his graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly retired after twenty years of service. While stationed in South Dakota he met Julie Dietsch and on April 29, 1978 they were united in marriage. Together they traveled all over the world during his time of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Together we celebrate his life, his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral from 1:00-2:00.
