Linda Smith

LINDA S. SMITH Linda Sue Smith, daughter of John and Bertha L. Smith Adams, was born, August 6, 1949 in England, Arkansas. She departed this life, Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty years, seven months and one day. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Smith and three brothers, E.W. "Dub" Adams, J.D. Adams and Jesse "Pee Wee" Adams. Survivors include her children, Courtney Flores and husband Tony of Lebanon, Missouri, Michelle Smith and fiance Todd Calvert of Brumley, Missouri and Lance Smith and wife Arnie of Jonesboro, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Scott Flores and wife Amanda, Reggie Flores, Cheyenne Kinsley, Darrian Flores, Sean Smith, Matthew Smith and Sierra Smith; two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Izzabella Flores; a brother, Leon Adams and wife Delores of Tulare, California; three sisters, Patricia Walls of Hayward, California, Peggy Robinson and husband Phil of Rover, Arkansas and Debbie Swaim and husband Dennis of Clay Center, Kansas; her husband Marc Dean and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Linda was raised in Tulare, California and was a graduate of Tulare Union High School. She lived in various places throughout her life and settled in Missouri in 1991. She worked as a waitress, most recently at Bob Evans in Osage Beach. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and doing ceramics. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service.
