Linda (Reggiani) Wolfe
Linda Ann Marie Reggiani Wolfe was born on October 1, 1952 to James and Elizabeth Reggiani in Jersey City, New Jersey. Linda was called to Heaven on December 14, 2023 at the age of 71, surrounded by love and prayers. On July 28, 1973, Linda married her soulmate and high school sweetheart, Karl Wolfe. During their 50 wonderful years of marriage Linda and Karl had one son, and 3 grandchildren. Linda was proceeded in death by her mother and father; as well as by her sisters, Tishy Einstein, Judy Murray and Jane Wolfe.
Linda was raised in Flanders, New Jersey as the 5th of 7 children. Her siblings say she had a quiet strength and a spunk about her. Her eyes always told the whole story. She was beautiful inside and out and always forgiving. Some of their greatest memories were dancing wherever they were and watching American Bandstand.
Linda attended Saint Micheal’s Catholic School in Netcong, NJ. She graduated from West Morris High School in 1970.
Linda and Karl were high school sweethearts. Once married, they quickly moved with the rest of the Wolfe Clan to their lifelong residence in Climax Springs, MO. She and Karl were honeymooners who shared their home with as many as 22 people at one time! As other homes were built on the farm guests slowly moved out. They finally had the house to themselves for their first Christmas. In 1976, Wolfe Brothers Farms, INC started a family-operated diary farm. Linda spent decades farming and working cattle with Karl. Some of their happiest times were running cows on the farm after retirement. Tinker and Taffy were among Linda’s favorites. Linda was the official gate opener, traffic director as Karl crossed the highway and Karl’s right hand. She thoroughly enjoyed working the farm. Linda was made for Karl, and Karl for Linda. Linda and Karl had many great adventures. They had a great love for the sun, moon and stars. Together they instilled this love in their nieces and nephews through homemade telescopes and late-night adventures in the bed of a truck parked in an open field gazing at the sky. Linda and Karl traveled many miles by road, sea and air. Most often with their beloved friends, Lee and Dee Lookingbill. The four shared many vacations and fond memories together. Linda was always “just a phone call away and was always there when you needed her”.
On August 28, 1983, Karl and Linda welcomed their only child, Kyle Joseph Wolfe. Linda enjoyed being a mother. The three took many trips, often to Galveston, Texas and Destin, Florida. Linda loved her family immensely. She was a wonderful and loving mother.
Linda had a love for numbers. She worked at an accounting office for several years after graduation. After moving to Missouri, Linda was employed at the local bank for 39 and a half years. She worked there as it carried many titles, The Citizens Bank of Climax Springs, The Peoples Bank of Climax Springs and finally The Great Southern Bank of Climax Springs. Linda retired from her banking career 6 months shy of 40 years as to not break the employment record of her beloved colleague, Donna Sue.
Linda could usually be found sitting on her screened porch, often in a robe, sipping hot tea or Coke a Cola, listening to the windchimes and enjoying her hummingbirds. Visiting the porch was a sure way to score an ice cream, a popsicle and a cool drink. She enjoyed gardening and caring for the lawn. She had a peaceful spirit, and it was truly a joy to be in her presence. Linda was raised in the Catholic Church. She later became a member of The Climax Springs Presbyterian Church.
In Linda’s retirement she found herself in her favorite role-Grandma. Anyone that knew Linda knew that her world revolved around her Grandson, Corbin Lee. Their relationship was beautiful and the two were inseparable. She and Corbin brought one another an unmatched JOY. His life is forever impacted by the role she played in it.
Linda is survived by her husband, Karl Wolfe; son Kyle Wolfe; grandsons Corbin and Karter and granddaughter Lyla; siblings Liz (Dennis) Frey, Jimmy (Sharon) Reggiani and Donna (Phil) Noonan; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and lifelong friends.
Linda was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was a pillar to the community. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
