Lisa Linn Compton, daughter of Larry Dwight and Constance Lynn Hoch Hoopingarner, was born, May 1, 1971 in Johnson City, Kansas. She departed this life, Monday, October 7, 2024, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of fifty-three years, five months and six days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Leah Mae Hoopingarner.
Lisa is survived by her daughters, Haley Stoufer and husband Tommie of Camdenton, Missouri and Alyssa Jones of Camdenton, Missouri; her siblings, Larry A. Hoopingarner of Otis, Kansas, Lori Rahjes and husband Ken of Agra, Kansas, Lindsay Hoopingarner and wife Traci of Stilwell, Kansas, Lance Hoopingarner and wife Brenda of Otis, Kansas and Lyle Hoopingarner of San Francisco, California; two beautiful granddaughters, Bella Stoufer and Lainey Jones; companion, Waldo “Wally” Chambers of Macks Creek, Missouri; nine nieces; eleven nephews and four great-nephews as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Lisa was raised in Manter, Kansas. She attended Stanton County Schools and graduated from Stanton County High School.
In her spare time, she enjoyed thrifting and collecting. She was a big Kansas Jayhawk fan and loved watching their games. The thing she loved the most was watching her grandchildren as they grew.
She was a loving mom, sister, grandma, aunt, companion and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
